REGISTRATION

How can I register and when is the closing date?
Online registration is available HERE. Online registration will close on Sunday, 4 July 2012 at 11:59pm or when we reach our registration cap whichever happens sooner.

What are the entry fees?
21km: $58 (Early Bird); 10km: $48 (Early Bird). The race is capped at TBD entrants. Once that number of registrants is reached, the 2012 race will be closed.

What are the types of payment available?
We accept VISA or Master Card via online registration and Cheque will be accepted through mail or walk in. When paying by cheque, please issue cheque payable to EPIC ESR Pte Ltd and mail it to 24 Ubi Road 4 (level 4) Singapore 408612. Do you send out confirmation emails?
Those who have provided an email address will receive confirmation and bib number via email. If you have not provided us with an email address, simply bring your photo ID to the Race Expo and you will be able to look up your race bib number when you arrive.

What is my race bib number?
Race bib numbers will be assigned to every runner.

Do you give refunds if I can’t make the race? All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is noted on our registration application, and when you register for any of our events you must agree to this policy.
You may not give or sell your number to another individual – if you do this could result in your disqualification as well as the runner who uses your race number. The entry fee for this year’s event is not transferable to next year’s event, no exceptions. This policies stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, pregnancy, etc. There are NO exceptions. Any inquiry regarding this policy will be directed back to this page.

  • Is there an age requirement for the 10K or 21K? Yes, you must be 16 years and above.
  • Is there group registration? We do not offer group registration
  • Can I run the race without registering? No, all runners without race bibs will be directed off the course immediately.

PRE-RACE

Where/when do I pick up my race kit?
You will pick up your race kit which consists of your race bib number and timing chip at the Race Expo. Information on the Race Expo’s venue and date will be updated in due course.

Where is the Race Expo?
TBA

What must I bring to the Race Expo?
Please bring along your photo ID (NRIC, Passport or Driving license), a copy of the confirmation email containing your bib number, proxy form duly completed and signed if you are collecting on behalf of participants.

What if I can’t make it to the Race Expo to collect my race kit?
You may download a proxy form from this website and ask a family member or friend to collect the race kit on your behalf.

What if no one can collect the Race Kit on my behalf?
You may collect your race kit at Epic ESR office latest by 5pm on 10 July 2012.

Do you have race day pick up?
We DO NOT have race day race kit pick up.

Can you mail me my race kit?
No, we do not provide mailing service for race kits, all participants must pick up their race kit at the Race Expo

Do I have to pay to attend the running clinics?
No, it is completely free for all participants of Marina21K.

What is the date of the Marina 21K & 10K?
Saturday, 14 July 2012

What time does the race start?
10km at 5:30pm and 21km at 7:30pm

Where does the race start and finish?
The race starts and ends at Punggol East (Run through Punggol Promenade, Punggol Park connector and Punggol Waterway)

What’s the best way to get to the start?
Shuttle service will be provided from Punggol MRT station (NE17).

What time will the shuttle service commence and when will it end?
Shuttle service will be provided for all participants and supporters from Punggol MRT station (NE17) to the race site. The shuttle service will commence from 3:30pm onwards and will ply between the Punggol MRT station and the race site until 7:30pm. Shuttle service back to Punggol MRT will end at 11:30 pm

What if I miss the flag off time?
The course will close 30 minutes after the official flag off time.

Is the Marina21K course a certified course?
No, this course has not been certified.

Is there a time limit to complete the 10K and 21K?
Yes, the cut off time for the 10K and 21k is 2 hours and 4 hours respectively after the official flag off time.

What can I do if I do not meet the race cut off?
Due to road closures restrictions, course cut off will be implemented. Shuttle service will be provided for runners who cannot make the race cut off and pick up point will be at the nearest aid stations.

How will my time be recorded?
The Marina21K @ Punggol will be using Chronotrack B-Tags Timing Chips. Each B-tag is checked for functionality before distribution. The tag is always 'ON' and need not be activated. You can dispose off the chip after the race.

What is the timing chip for and what do I do with it?
The timing chip is used to track and capture your run time. You do not need to return your chip after the event. Please note that if you do not have the timing chip, you will not have an official time.

Are walkers permitted?
Yes, walkers and race walkers are part of the Marina21K event. However, walkers are asked to start near the end of the pack to avoid being crowded or bumped by the faster participants.

Are skates, skateboards, bikes or carriages of any kind allowed on the Marina21K course?
No, if you are caught on the Marina21K course with any of these, you will be directed off the course immediately.

Do you allow iPods/mp3 players?
Yes.

COURSE SUPPORT

How many aid stations will you have?
There will be sufficient aid stations, water and sports drinks will be offered at all the aid stations and they are approximately 2.5km apart.

Will there be paramedics and ambulances in the event of an emergency?
Yes, fully equipped ambulances and paramedics will be on standby along the race route and end point.

Is there a baggage check in facility and where is it located?
Yes, it will be located near the starting line.

What time will the finish line close and stop timing?
2 hours after the race start for 10K and 4 hours after the race start for 21K.

Will there be food provided along the course?
No, you are encouraged to prepare and carry your own nutrition.

Do you have Pace Groups?
No.

POST RACE

Do all participants receive finisher medals?
All finishers within the race cut off time in the 21K and 10K event will receive a finisher medal.

Where can I collect my baggage after the race?
Collection of the baggage will be at the same location as the drop of. The baggage counter will close at 12:00 midnight; any uncollected baggage will be stored at Epic ESR office for 30 days. The management accepts no responsibilities for lost baggage.

When will the results be made available and will there be finisher certificates?
Your race result will be posted on our website after the race. Official results and an Electronic Finisher Certificate will be made available to all finishers within 14 days after the race.

How do I get back to Punggol MRT station?
Shuttle service from the race site pickup point to Punggol MRT station (NE17) will end at 11:30 pm.

OTHER

How can I purchase photos from Marina21K?
As this is an evening / night race and due to low lighting condition, no official photographs will be taken.
